FAQ

What Is Self Storage?

Self Storage is an easy, flexible storage solution. You only pay for the space you need and the length of time you use it without being tied into a lease or long-term rental agreement.

Are there different types of Self Storage?

Yes, Self Storage broadly speaking falls into 3 catagories.

  1. Purpose built buildings and converted warehouses. These types of facility are to a degree similar boasting Unit Alarms, CCTV in most cases 7days a week access. They are dry being insulated from the changes of temperature which can cause damp and condensation as the individual units are built within the outer skin.
  2. External Steel Containers which similar to the shipping containers you see on the roads. These are found either in concrete compounds, open ground or in some cases farm yards. These can in some cases be difficult to access, are susceptible to humidity and temperature changes.
  3. Converted Farm Buildings which vary from site to site and are generally making use of redundant space.

What type of storage facility is Pack and Stack?

Pack and Stack is a purpose built facility built over two floors with a lift to the first floor.

We are one of the newest facilities in Ipswich and offer Secure 24 Hour Access and CCTV Monitoring that help ensure convenience and maximum security for all of our customers and their possessions that are stored with us. Although our office is open from 9 am to 6 pm customers are able to access their storage unit using a cash machine type access pin unique to them and their unit. When the correct pin is entered the door entry system opens the main door and deactivates their individual unit alarm The customer can then open their own padlock allowing them to add or remove their items.

What questions should I be asking?

I am a builder and I always need space to store materials and tools, rather than using my garage at home I store at Pack & Stack as the price I was given was very competitive and they promise to freeze charges for the length of my stay.
I can come and go as I please and I always know how much it will cost me. It also means I can keep my garage at home for my car.

A Customer

I would be happy to recommend Pack & Stack to anyone. The service has been fantastic, I was pleased to find out that prices were per calendar month, not every 28 days like the other places I had been to see. It works out I get a month free a year on the calendar month basis. I store valuables here but I am comfortable doing so due to the extensive camera and alarm system.
